Artistic Associate and Choreographer -
Ali Landers has been dancing since she was a child. She discovered dance again as an adult and received her Dance Minor from Boise State University. Ali has taught creative movement and Modern for Balance Dance Company and currently teaches barre, personal training, an yoga at Shine Yoga Collective. Ali also teaches dance for the City of Boise as an Adaptive Dance Instructor and teaches integrated dance camps for IPUL.
She is a personal trainer, yoga instructor and holds dance workshops for women based on a psychosomatic dance therapy for PTSD and trauma certification she completed with the American Dance Therapy Association. Ali has also earned certificates in Somatic Creative Movement from Naropa University, Creative Movement and Dance Therapy from Ballet West in Salt Lake City, UT. Most recently she completed the Summer Dance Intensive for Integrated Dance with Axis Dance Company in Oakland, CA.
Ali has been dancing with Open Arms Dance Project since 2012 as a dancer and began acting as an Artistic Associate and choreographer for the company in 2013. Her choreography for Open Arms Dance Project includes pieces such as Migration and Wheel’s Connect, which have inspired audiences in profound ways. Ali continues to be joyfully inspired and dedicated to her love for Open Arms Dance Project. She aspires to surpass limitations and create greater awareness that dance is for everyone. Her heart is with Open Arms Dance Project.
